Learn to Ride

Want to learn how to master two-wheels for the first time? Whether your a kid or an adult who's a kid at heart, we can help.

Not everyone has an easy time learning how to get going on a bike. We offer safe, supportive, individualized one-on-one lessons for both adults and youth customized for you.

Everyone has different barriers to learning to ride but together we can get past your fears and into your gears for the first time. With patience and a deep understanding that learning can be challenging no matter how old or young you are, we'll take a gentle, patient and safe approach to riding for the first time while working at your speed.

  • When: A two-hour session arranged around your schedule. Many students learn to ride in this amount of time. If you need further instruction we can meet additional times.
  • Where: Lessons usually take place at Fernhill Park at NE 42nd and Ainsworth in Portland on a soft, wide running track. Arrangements can also be made to come to you if necessary.
  • Cost: $100 per session ($25 travel fee outside of Portland city limits.) If you need further instruction, the cost is $50 per additional hour of tutoring. Depending on your height, we also have bikes and helmets available for rental for an additional $15 per lesson.
